息子がついに感染…ステイホーム中のNozomiです。
思いの丈を英語日記に込めてみた中で、
situation/condition/circumstanceの違いってなんだろ？と思い、
まとめてみたのでご紹介します。

I started to be fed up with staying at home.
ステイホームだいぶ病んできた…
And it'll be really tough for me and my son to be at home for the next 7days.
わたしと息子にとってこれがあと7日間続くのはかなりしんどいと思う。
Staying at home by my choice won't be that hard because I choose to do so.
家にいることを選択してるならそんな大変じゃないよね。だって自分で選んでるもん。
But in this case, we have no choice.
でも、今回は選択肢がない。
What the hardest things are cooking meals for 3 times a day, playing with my son every now and then, and wearing a mask in the house.
一番大変なことは、3食作ること、息子とちょこちょこ遊ばないといけないこと、そして家でもマスクを付けること。
Luckily he understands the situation and does what has to be done.
ラッキーなことに息子は状況がわかってて、やることはやってくれる。
He wears his mask and sanitize his hands quite often during a day.
日中はマスクと手の消毒は頻繁にやってくれてる。
It would be so much difficult if it'd happened when he was 3 years old.
もし息子が3歳のときにこうなってたらもっと大変だっただろうね。
Think about that way, I feel much better and try to treat him a bit better from now on.
そう思うとかなり気が楽になるし、これからもうちょっと優しくしようと思う。
(He's now asleep, so maybe that's why I could think that way.)
（今寝てるからそう思えるのかも。）
Anyways, thankfully I have enough help to ask.
まぁ、ありがたいことに頼んだら充分に援助を受けられる。
I'll somehow survive with my energetic boy who can't also wait till the quarantine to be end.
自宅療養期間が終わるのを待ちわびてる元気小僧となんとか生き抜くぞ。
situation/condition/circumstanceの違い
どれも辞書で調べると「状況」「事態」などが出てきますが、微妙な違いがあります。
特にsituation/circumstanceはよく似ているので注意★
situation-その時の状況(起こっていること)
- The situation is out of control.
-その状況は手に負えない。
condition-状態を表す
- She is now in good condition.
-今は、彼女は良い状態ですよ。
circumstance-置かれた状況(自分ではコントロールできないこと)
- Under the circumstance, we have to stay at home.
-この状況下では家にいなきゃいけない。
